We keep this weeks advice short and simple in an attempt to reverse our recent poor run.We suggest a decent bet on Harrington each way at 12/1 in an event that he has finished 8/3/2/3/1 in over the last 5 years.He looks a bet to nothing as at the very least we expect to see him finished in a place if he does not win the event.

Although Els carried our cash last week in the Nedbank and managed a distant third,we felt he was not on the top of his game.The main man to benefit if Els is again not at his best should be Schwartzel.He has a record second to none on this Leopard Creek course.He won this event in 2005 and has been second in both subsequent tournaments since.At 12/1 in the outright market he looks an each way shot to nothing.He also looks worth supporting in selective group and match bets.Hopefully he will enable us to finish the year in the sort of winning form we started it in.

Our recent bad run continues with Schawrtzel missing the cut and therefore not even giving us a run for our money.

It looks a very weak field for this weeks Nedbank Challenge with major question marks over the majority of players regarding their recent form or lack of course experience.Three time winner Els therefore looks the one to side with.We know he`s in decent form having just won the matchplay at Wentworth and we expect him to justify favouritsm again this week.

Rose and Poulter look the biggest certainty of the year to land the World Cup of golf for England.Both have won their latest event and are brimming with confidence.The main threat we expect to come from Sweden who have Karlsson and Hanson representing them.We therefore suggest a serious bet on England with a saver on Sweden.

A disappointing result with England a couple of shots short of being involved in the play off.

We have a another quality match bet for ou this week.Kjeldsen is approximately 2 1/2 shots a round superior than Dyson on the Fanling course and that in its self should be sufficient to give him the edge over 72 holes.

Harrington looks the one player we want on our side this week.He is in cracking form with 3 straight top ten finishes and has quality course form finishing 6th here last year and 15th in 2005.He looks a good bet to finish ahead of Cabrera over 72 holes.Cabrera has no course form which should give Harrington the edge.We also suggest a modest interest on our man in the outright market.

Harrington managed a place in the outright market and also landed our match bet for us.

Fasth looks like a decent bet in Chandlers group A to beat Harrington and Stenson, neither have a particulary good Valderama record.Fasth on the other hand has finished 5th and 7th on his last two visits.100/30 looks big.

We fancy Fasth to defend his title this week.In fantastic current form he looks like an each way gift at 10/1.

After a promising first round Fasth let things slip to finish 27th without threatening on Sunday.

With no course form on either tour this week we offer no bet.

We concentrate on the 1st round of the Worldmatch play for our only bet this week.Casey,Rose,Fasth and Cabrera all look good things for their respective matches.All have good course form and are playing opposition that has poor or no course form and that should be more than enough to land another 5 star bet that pays just under 6/1.Apologies that the site did not get updated last week(staff error/confusion).Regards and good luck.

Europe look a good bet to take the Seve Trophy.There looks to be very little between the teams and 6/4 looks a big price about what looks to be a coin flip.The US look serious betting material to win the Presidents Cup.The International team have several key players(Goosen,Singh,Cabrera) who are in poor form and look there for the taking.

The Yanks trotted up in the Presidents Cup but Europes dreadfull performance in the singles of the Seve Trophy cost us our double.

Again our only bet of the week is 5 star material.Green looks a good thing to see off Sterne over 72 holes.Green as an obvious liking for the Belfry with a string of decent finishes on the course(B&H International).Sterne on the other hand missed the cut here last year.10/11 looks generous.Regards and good luck.

Our only advice this week looks to be a sure thing.Fisher after winning a couple of weeks ago has missed the cut in his only event since then and has no course experience.Forsyth on the other hand is in reasonable form and has some decent course form to his name.A 5 star bet looks justified.

We fancy a cross the Atlantic speculative double this week.Were for a small outlay we could get a potentially massive return.In the BMW we take Woods,Ogilvy,Immelman and Allenby and in the European Masters our picks are Molinari,Erlandsson and Dredge.In the main each player fits our usual criteria of having positive course form and being in decent current form.

Woods won in the US.Our closest European player was Dredge who finished 1 shot off a playoff.

We have some serious betting propositions for you this week.Lynn and Nystrom look good things for their respective groups with Betfred.Both are playing steady golf at present but it is their superiour course form that warrants them being maximum bet material.

Lynn failed by a couple of shots to win his group.Only Singh made cut in Nystrom`s group.

Having struggled to identify a worthwhile match betting opportunity we recommend an each way outright interest on Garcia this week.Having won this event at the Westchester Country Club in 2004 and 2001 he will be teeing up this week confident that he can put his British Open woes behind him.As long as he can keep his mental focus when it comes to the business end of the competition on Sunday afternoon we feel he has a great chance of rewarding our support at decent odds.

The final Major of the year is upon us and we feel we have identified a player at a massive price who could oblige for us.Step forward Hunter Mahan.He won his first tour event the Travelers Championship in June this year and since then has played sparkling golf his form reading 1/8/6/5/22.He is a local lad who will be able to handle the extreme heat and humidity and we feel 66/1 is a big price.A player worth an interest at an even bigger price of 225/1 is Jose Coceres.He was an interesting 12th last week in the Reno-Tahoe Open and has a reasonable USPGA record,we feel he has the game to do well this week.Our only match bet of the week looks a sure thing.We are having a serious wager on Mahan to beat Sabbatini over 72 holes.Sabbatini is in good current form but has an abysmal record in this event missing the cut in 4 out of his last 6 attempts.Regards and good luck.

Neither of our outright fancies got into contention.However both our match bets won giving us 8 match bet wins from our last 10 bets.

Our only recommendation this week is an interest on Cink in the Bridgestone Invitational.His record in the event in recent years is second only to that of Woods.He won here 3 years ago and lost in a play off to Woods last year.He is in decent current form having finished 6th recently in the British Open.He is generally available at 33/1 which seem fairly generous odds to us.

Cink was never at the races after a disastrous first round.

Again we have identified a match bet for this week that warrants serious interest.Fasth is one of the form players on the European Tour at the moment with a string of recent top tens behind him,including a win a couple of weeks ago in the BMW International Open.Add the fact that he also has the strongest form on the Gut Kaden course and that makes him serious betting material.He should have the beating of Casey who has missed the cut on this course in both 2006 and 2005 although was placed back in 2003.Foster`s current form is slightly more immpresive than Derksen`s but it is again is course form that should give him the edge.Foster has two average finishes against Derksens two missed cuts in the last two years.Regards and good luck.

We are supporting three players in this weeks British Open,Harrington,Cabrera and Verplank.Harrington recently impressed us when he won the Irish Open being cheered on by his countrymen.He is a superb links golfer with a great Open record and we will be surprised if he is not there or there abouts come Sunday afternoon.Cabrera`s recent US Open win will have filled him with new found confidence.His Open record is a bit patchy reading 4/mc/mc/mc/22/dnp/mc/7,however the 4th place shown was at Carnoustie back in 1999.We expect a good showing from him this week.The last player in our trio is Scott Verplank who has been playing inspired golf since winning the Byron Nelson in April,he has had four top 10`s in his last four attempts on the US tour,including a 7th place in the US Open.He also has an excellant Open record 15/mc/30/37/mc/7/23/31 interestingly he was an eyecatching 15th at Carnoustie in 1999.Our only match bet features Verplank against Baddeley who`s Open record is dire reading mc/dnp/dnp/mc/dnp/mc.Although he has played steady golf since winning the FBR Open in February he is not currently playing to the same level as Verplank.This in our eyes is a mismatch.Its time to strap your betting boots on again and take advantage of Betdirects mistake.Welcome to any Racing Post readers joining us for the first time as a result of our advertising campaign.Regards and good luck.

A good Open for us with Harrington holding his nerve to beat Garcia in a play off(Top European returns based on £7.50 ew).Cabrera and Verplank were in the mix after 2 rounds but both had poor weekends to fall away from contention.Our 5 star match bet was never in doubt with Baddeley missing the cut by miles.

This week we are taking on Mickelson and Goosen in our match bet.Both are in poor current form with a string of missed cuts to their names.Although Goosen won this event in 2001 both players have modest recent records at the Loch Lomond course.Westwood and Jimenez have a string of steady recent performances behind them and have far better Scottish Open form in recent years.Their respective prices 6/5 and 11/8 look overly generous.

We have not identified a match bet worthy of our interest this week.However we are quite keen on supporting Richard Green in the French Open and Scott Verplank in the Buick Open.Both are arguably the most inform players on their respective tours at present and each have excellant course credentials.

Our only match bet this week looks interesting.Harrington has missed his last two cuts and plays in this event for the first time.Zach Johnson has decent course form and is playing quality golf.He should easily see off Harrington over 72 holes.Watney finished 9th here in 2007 and 2006 but is in poor form since his win in the Zurich Classic in April he as missed 4 out of 6 cuts.Van Pelts current form is ok and he has finished 21/25/dnp on his last 3 visits to the River Highland course.

Our decent recent run comes to an end with Harrington managing to beat Johnson.

This weeks US Open venue Oakmont is a beast of a course measuring around 7,300 yards with penal rough and lightning fast greens.Clark has the credentials to take care of Appleby over 72 holes.His driving accuracy (44th 2006)is streets ahead of Appleby`s (150th 2006)and is the main factor in their respective US Open records.Clarks event form reads mc/13/3/mc as opposed to Appleby who has made the cut once in 7 attempts.One player who we want on our side is Scott Verplank he has the game to do well this week.He is one of the most accurate drivers on tour and is a superb putter.He will have new found belief in his game having recently won the Byron Nelson in good fashion.We suggest supporting him in the Top USA player without Woods list at 33/1(same price in Top USA player list so we may as well take Woods out of the equation).We also suggest the 80/1 generally available in the outright market is worth a decent bet.

Frustratingly Verplank finished t7th just outside a place for us in the outright betting.He did however fininsh in t4th place in the Top American without Woods market.Giving us a return to half stakes.Our match bet also won to continue our winning run.

Strap your betting boots on and get stuck into this weeks only bet.Brier to beat Montgomery and Green to beat McDowell looks to be a bet that should continue our winning streak.Both of our men are in fine fettle and have far superior course form.

Back to our bread and butter this week, with a couple of match bets that warrant our interest. Schwartzel looks like a player to take on this week. Although playing good golf at the moment - including a recent win - his Wentworth form is poor. Over the last three years, he's missed the cut on each occasion and, by a cumulative total of 21 shots. Richard Green looks like the sort of player to take him on, having finished 20/33/14 in the corresponding period. We recommend a 5-star bet with Boyles. Our match bet double involves taking on Schwartzel again, this time with Sterne. He has steady course form which we expect to be sufficient to meet the task. The second leg involves opposing Poulter, who has missed the cut on five ocassions out of the last seven attempts on this course. Cabrera won here two years ago, was second three years ago, and finshed 29th in 2006. His course credentials should be more than sufficient to take care of Poulter. Lets hope we can build on last weeks cracking win.

No match bets this week but we suggest a decent wager on Zach Johnson at 14/1.Those of you that have been with us for a while will remember backing him to win this event at 66/1 3 years ago.He was second last year and will have got a massive mental boost from winning the Masters.

A good result for us with Zach taking the title at the first play off hole.

Adam Scott to be the top Australasian player at Sawgrass this week looks a cracking bet.He won this event three years ago and finished 8th the following year.His course form is streets ahead of most the other Australasians.We see the main threat coming from Steve Elkington who also plays this track well and suggest a modest saver.Our only other bet looks a sure thing.Calcavecchia is enjoying a rich run of form and his accurate driving is rewarded here.Glover`s poor driving accuracy will cause him major problems this week.Calc. looks a steal at 4/5.

We got paid to half our win stake on Scott with him coming joint top and half our place stake on Elkington as he finished tied 3rd.Calc. and Glover unfortunately finished on the same score.

Skybets odds compilers have made a mistake this week by matching Taylor and Sabbatini over 72 holes.Although both players are in excellant form Sabbatini has a poor record at the Quail Hollow course.In his last four visits he has finished 40/50/mc/52.Taylor missed the cut in his first attempt in the event 3 years ago but his last two efforts 5th(2005) and 6th(2006) show he has soon got to grips with the difficult course.A 5 star bet looks justified.We also suggest an each way interest in Taylor in the outright market.

Sean O`Hair is a player we want on our side this week.In his last four events he has finished 14/14/7/15 and his course form is equally impressive having been placed 19th last year and 2nd in 2005.He should comfortably take care of Charles Howell who`s course form is poor.Pampling is two shots per round better than Weir in this event and he is in reasonable current form.He should land the second leg of this weeks double for us.We also suggest an interest on O`Hair each way in the outright market.

Our match bet was comfortably landed.O`Hair finished a disappointing 26th after leading after round 1.

We think we have identified a gem of a bet for this week.Jaidee has missed the cut in this event 2 years running.Bjorn`s course form is far superiour.He was 3rd 2 years ago and 26th last year.In the other leg of our double O`Malley looks to have the beating of Liang, again based on course form.Both are currently playing quality golf but O`Malley gets the edge having an 8th finish to his name last year.Liang`s best attempt in the last 3 years was 49th last year.We suggest a serious bet which should get us back to winning ways.Regards and good luck.

Our main bet of the week is Rod Pampling to be top Australasian.The 14/1 offered by V.C looks very generous about a player who has finished joint top in this market in the last two years and who is in reasonable form. We also suggest a small stakes interest in the outright market.Olazabal looks worth a bet in the continental european market.We have noted signs that he may be coming back to form and his Masters record is second to none having won the event in 1994 and 1999 with reasonable finishes in four out of the last 5 years including 3rd last year.Our only match bet this week looks nailed on.Weir(24/won/mc/5/11) has far better Masters form than Rose(39/22/dnp/dnp)and warrants a decent bet.

A disappointing week in an event that we traditionally do well in with all our bets losing money.Pampling finished 4th in the top Australasian market just missing out on a place return for us.Even though Olazabal tied for 3rd in his market we still lost money on the bet.

With limited course form available in Europe and the US we do not get involved in any match or group bets this week.Our only recommendation is an average stake interest on Charl Schwartzel at the generally available odds of 20/1.The tournament is normally played on courses that are exposed to the wind.Being a superb wind player it is therefore no surprise that Charl has a cracking record in the event finishing 16th 2003,4th 2006 and 8th in 2005 when last played at this weeks venue.In reasonable current form he looks worth an interest.Regards and good luck.

After a poor opening round 74 Charl eventually finished t3rd giving us an each way payout for a modest profit.

We have identified 3 72 match bet doubles this week that each warrant maximum bet material.In the last 3 years Goosen has finished in the top 20 in this event against Scott`s 1 visit over the same period were he missed the cut 2 years ago.Toms has been placed 16/mc/5/5/2 were as Garcia`s best attempt over the same period was a 33rd 5 years ago.Our players superior course form shold be enough to land our bet.In our other 2 bets our men again have the advantage of better course form justifying our recommendation.Regards and good luck.

Garcia playing better than expected cost us 2 of our doubles.However the 3rd won for us at slighty better than 3 to 1 giving us a modest profit on the week.

We feel we have identified a couple of match bet gems this week. Bohn finished 26th in his first attempt in this event last year but would have finished a lot higher if he had not shot a nervous 78 in the last round.Bohn also finished 14th last week confirming he is in good form.He warrants 5 star bet material against Taylor who has a missed cut and a 58th place to his name in this event over the last 2 years. On course form alone Ogilvy(26/36/mc last 3 years) and Garcia(10/8/31 are worth a decent bet to finish in front of Donald(dnp/dnp/dnp) and Immelman(mc/mc/46). Regards and good luck.

A bad week for us with both our bets losing.

Choi and Pettersson should see off Stricker and Rollins respectively over 72 holes.Although each of the four players have some reasonable recent form to their names there is a big differance in course form.Choi won this event last year were as Stricker missed the cut in his only recent visit 3 years ago.Pettersson won here in 2005 and was 8th in 2004 and has a stroke average of 2 1/2 shots per round better than Rollins who was a poor 65th last year and missed the cut in 2005.

Choi easily saw off Stricker but Pettersson let us down by surprisingly missing the cut.

Howell`s recent form suggests he is still struggling to find his form after his shoulder problems.The fact that his caddy has chosen to join Justin Rose potentially tells us that there will be no immediate turn around in his fortunes.So Hanson at 13/10 looks a big price to finish in front of him over 72 holes.Hanson is playing steady golf and has finished 13/61/23/dnp/48 against Howell`s 55 place 2 years ago in his only recent attempt in the event.This looks like a serious betting proposition.Van de Velde looks a solid bet in Bet Directs Group H as there are serious question marks over the rest of the group.Lawrie has missed his last 2 cuts and we are told he is not finding fairways with his new driver.McGrane has missed his last 2 cuts in this event.McClardy missed his last cut and plays this event for the first time and finally Plapholis is in erratic form and has very poor course form.Van de Velde was 10th last week and was 40th here last year a repeat of which should be enough.

Although Hanson missed the cut he still finished in front of Howell to land our bet.With 3 of Van de Velde`s group missing the cut he easily provided us with another decent priced winner.

With the Honda and Johnnie Walker Classic`s being played on courses offering no/limited recent course form we again offer no bets.We would remind new members that from time to time this will occur and it is just unfortunate that it has happened twice in recent weeks.

Another tricky week with the US Tour going to Mexico for the first time hence no course form to go on and the lottery that is the Accenture Match Play being the other event played this week.We avoid the short priced obvious names and put up Poulter at 100/1 and DiMarco at 66/1 as two players who although not in particulary good form have shown a liking for this event and could give us a run for our money at big odds.Our men should play each other in the 3rd round assuming they progress which would ensure an interest in the last 8 for us.Regards and good luck.

Both our players were knocked out by Immelman who eventually went on to finish 3rd. At least our loses were limited to minimum stakes.

With both tours using new courses for their respective events and therefore offering no course form we take the unusual step of offering no bets this week.

We have not been able to identify a bet worth any serious involvement this week.Our only recommendation to small stakes is McGinley ew.He is in solid form and has some decent Pebble Beach performances under his belt including a 12th last year.If the wind blows he could be an interesting bet at a massive 175/1.

Although shooting a promising 69 in his first round two back to back rounds of 73 ensured he never looked like threatening the leader board on sunday.

We have struggled to identify a worthwhile match/group bet this week. We suggest a small each way interest on Cink and Stenson to win their respective tournaments.Cink in only his second start this year was an eye catching 14th last week and has 3 top 20 places in the FBR to his name over the last 3 years, 33/1 looks generous.In Dubai we think Stenson looks the one to take on the short priced Woods(11/8) and Els(5/1).He was 7th last year and is currently in great form.18/1 looks big about a man who should at least reward us with a place. We focus on the European Tour this week as we feel we have identified a bet that warrants our first 5 star bet of the year.Betfreds odds compilers have made a serious mistake in their 72 hole matches each of our men having by far the better course form than their respective opponents.We are having our first serious bet of the year so fingers crossed. Our first 5 star bet of 2007 comfortably landed.Continuing our fantastic start to the year.

We are recommending our first 72 hole match bet of the year this week. Verplank has finished in front of past tournament winner Weir in each of the last 3 years and we expect him to continue the trend. Senden should land the second leg of our double for us.Again he has the better course form.A final round 73 last year when in contention was disappointing but the earlier 4 rounds confirmed his liking for this event/format. With Kelly missing the cut and Verplank finishing 8 shots clear of Weir our bet was landed with the minimum of concern.

Untill the early season form has settled down we avoid match and group betting for now. Our only advice this week is an average stake interest on K J Choi at 33/1 ew. He has solid course form finishing t13 last year and t7 in 2002. He has also started the season well with a 8th place finish in the Mercedes last week, in fact if he had shot level par instead the disastrous 77 in round 2 he would have finished 3rd. Odds of 33/1 look attractive. Lets hope we can continue the excellant start to the season. Regards and good luck.

Without really threatening to win the tournament Choi managed t4 to at least earn us a payout.

Stuart Appleby helped us to a good start for 2006 in this event last year at odds of 14-1. This year however we are looking to do the same with Vijay Singh. In his last 4 attempts here he has finished 2/t5/2/t4 at 9/1 in a restricted field he looks maximum bet material. We cannot see him finishing outside of a place and as long as he has a decent week on the greens he should go close. Appleby at a similar price may suffer from the pressure of trying to win this event 4 years running. Regards and good luck.
